78% of teenagers say it is important to follow current events.
Teens get their news more frequently from social media sites (e.g., Facebook and Twitter) or YouTube than from news organizations.
60% of teens who get news from YouTube say they are more likely to get it from celebrities, influencers, and personalities than news organizations (39%).
Teens prefer a visual medium for learning about the news.
